BEST PERSONAL TRAINERS in the WORLD

ANGELO SORRENTI, one of my favorite boys ;-)

Hey World,

Lately I've been totally high on life because it's Oscar season and there are so many cool events!

Over the past four years, I have had many different personal trainers in Chicago and Los Angeles. I take my training very seriously. I've trained at David Barton gym with a plethora of male and female trainers. My favorite trainers there (David Barton Chicago) were Andrew, Joe, Sahdi, Sarah and AJ.

I trained at The Right Fit in Hinsdale. I had a boxing coach there and my trainer there was Dara...she was pretty cool and we even partied together a lot. haha then I hooked her up with my friend Ryan...but that's another story...

I trained at Lifetime in Burr Ridge with many different trainers and one boxing coach there as well. My favorite trainers at Lifetime were Marty Hyland and Matt Kouba!

MARTY HYLAND, Lifetime Burr Ridge, IL
Marty is sooooo good. He's hardcore and intense. He makes you work hard and I love that I'm always sore when I train with Marty. I was actually Marty's first young female client. Apparently, Marty is so intense that a lot of girls can't handle him! haha I love that because I worked really hard with him and we even did a 2hour sessions a few times...including a 2hour one on Thanksgiving. Marty is upbeat and pushes me to my ultimate maximum limit. A great Marty Hyland (AKA "H BOMB") quote, "The weight doesn't lose itself!"

MATT KOUBA, Lifetime Fitness Burr Ridge, IL
Matt Kouba is a body builder and he's extremely well educated on fitness. He knows his stuff! My favorite Matt Kouba quote, "If you're hungry, drink a FUCKING glass of water!" LOL I love him because he doesn't make exceptions or allow "cheating." Hardcore. Matt Kouba is JACKED. He set me up on what we call "The Matt Kouba Diet" which is modified to my training style and focuses on protein. I still follow the Matt Kouba diet to this day. It helps keep everything consistent. Matt is such a sweet guy and pretty amazing at what he does.

ANGELO SORRENTI
ANGELO SORRENTI

The best trainer in New York is Angelo Sorrenti. OMG this guy is a machine. He has an entire ASIM empire. Let me take a moment to educate you on ASIM, Angelo Sorrenti Advanced Manipulation. Angelo studied in Italy and he basically convinced me that he is an angel..lol no joke ;) The first time I ever rode a motorcycle in my life was last summer with Angelo...omg he's so fun and extremely serious about training. Angelo has changed multitudinous peoples' lives. He trains Kate Moss and a bunch of other celebrities. He has set world records, been all over magazines AND has his own clothing line with MARC JACOBS! He's Italian, sweet, and hilarious. I also admit, he's one of the most fun guys I've ever met in my life. He scared the shit out of me and gave me a dope adrenaline rush the entire time we hung out ;)

Okay, so the two best trainers in Los Angeles are: ADAM FARINO & TOLLAND WEEMS (Equinox)...they are both amazing and really care about their clients.

Adam has a masters. He's really serious about his work and good at it! He's also a celebrity trainer and now trains Lindsay Lohan :-)
Celebrity Trainer Adam Farino and me at my first movie premiere for "PURITY" in Los Angeles
Check out FARINO FITNESS, duh!

TOLLAND WEEMS, Top LA Trainer, duh

Tolland Weems is the best. He listens and understands client needs. He's creative, innovative and great at designing a program that fits specific client needs.
Tolland is a dope trainer.

Ok, so if you need a trainer in LA, New York, Chicago, or Hinsdale, I definitely have that covered!

Sexy Salons that I Love

Hey World,
This is a really important time to have perfectly shiny hair. It's Oscar season which means millions of red carpets and gifting suites! I am so excited!

Yesterday I got a Brazilian blowout!! I went to my friend Cory Savage's salon-- C Savage Salon.

My friend Cory is a celebrity stylist and his salon is totally cute. It was my first time there and I was definitely impressed with the outgoing staff and comfortable, private atmosphere.

Cory Savage is really top notch.

Another celebrity stylist, Brittany Dahl, did my process.

Wow. Completely impressed with her knowledge and skills! She's also totally gorgeous.

For my color, I go to Christian Ventor at Umberto in Beverly Hills. I absolutely love Christian. He is wonderful because he really listens to what you want and need. Besides, he focuses much energy on the integrity of your hair. He cares a lot about his clients and I love him!! :-)

He's also totally HOT.

My favorite friend in LA, Donna Spangler, introduced me to Christian.
Her color is also gorgeous, as you can see :-)

& Finally, here is my color, thanks to Christian :-)
I will post new pics after my Brazilian blowout from Cory :-)

Lexi

Falling in Love at Sky Bar

Hey World,
I was just thinking about Oliver Jacobs and how we were such a cute/photogenic couple lol :P He was a sweetheart. My first boyfriend in LA was pro tennis player / model, Oliver Jacobs.

This is such a funny story. When I first moved to LA, I lived in a two bedroom chateau right next to the Sky Bar. Sky Bar easily became a frequent stop for me at the beginning or end of many nights. I began to feel really comfortable there and used it as my common chill spot. Besides, my favorite restaurant at the time was Asia de Cuba, conveniently located in the hotel.

The night before my Purity movie premiere, I went to a friend's private party in Beverly Hills and on the way home, made a random last minute decision to stop by the Sky. I walked in and headed toward my usual private table overlooking the city. All of a sudden, this cute blonde guy with gorgeous blue eyes smiled at me. We caught each others' eyes and he came over to me. "Hey, I know you. You're famous right?" He said. I laughed really hard and smiled a lot. He was so cute.

"Well actually, yes. I have a movie premiere tomorrow! I'm so excited!" I responded smiling back.

"Well cheers baby. Let's have champagne."

Next thing you know, we were enjoying champagne and a randomly cute night together. After that we hung out a lot and starting going on cute dates. Then we did an engagement photo shoot together for a celebrity wedding photographer's ad. He said I looked like a princess and I called him my Polish Prince.

The story ends sweetly, as we ended on good terms. My Polish Prince vanished back to Poland to play Pro Tennis (he's ranked 2nd in the country for his level or whatever) and his family owns a lot of hotels so he went back to help with their business too.

"Baby, someday we will live in one of my parents' hotels," Oliver promised.
"Oh yeah?" I replied. "Maybe I don't want to live in a hotel, baby! LOL" I laughed back.

:-)

Lexi

I feel like I'm doing the right thing

Hey World,

I have some serious goals this year. I'm definitely on track with them. If you know me, I'm hyper-motivated, persistent, hard-headed, and a lil A.D.D. That pretty much means I don't sleep until I finish what I've set out to accomplish. In fact, once I have a goal, I have to achieve it.

Anyway, school is over-- THANK GOD! I'm so happy. Now I get to just be an actor! Everyone keeps asking me, "What next?" I'm like, "Um, I get to be an actor." I'm not going to lie, I'm definitely interested in law school. My dad is my role model...and of course he's SUPER LAWER of Chicago two years in a row...so yeah, duh, law school is a bright idea. However, my dad said to me the other day, "I don't think law is your passion." That's so funny. My dad knows me too well. Acting is my passion. I love it so much! I can't get enough of it.

I'll be focusing on The Beverly Hills Playhouse, casting director workshops, and of course, STAND UP!! Can't wait...and so it begins...2011...the best year of my life!

Love,
Lexi

Alex DiNovi, Up-And-Comer in Hollywood and Winner of the Best Actress Award in New York Film Festival to Star in Insanity Plea
LOS ANGELES, CA -- Dreams do come true. Alex DiNovi never thought her eight years of soccer would contribute to her “big break” into television. Pretty Tough, the pilot destined for ABC Family became a dream-turned- reality, as it was picked up by Rogers in Canada and began airing November 15th. Alex performs in a total of four episodes, giving her the unique oppor- tunity to show off yet another talent, her all-star soccer moves and athletic abilities. The show is based on the book series by Liz Tigelaar, (Life Unexpected, Melrose Place) and directed by Stewart Hen- dler (Sorority Row). Knocking out another great leading role, Alex is co-starring in the horror film, Insanity Plea, scheduled to shoot in Texas Spring 2011. Other star names in the cast include Bryan Cal- len, Eddie Navarro and Michael Pet- ted. Alex plays, troubled teen,Casey Smith, who faces the horrific struggle in an insane asylum against the psy- chopathic and murderous Dr. Lancing. Last month, she was honored in Beverly Hills for the Best Film Noir Award for Purity, the independent film that has screened all over the country this year. Her role, as Alyssa Castalldi, the vengeful virgin, scored her the Best Actress Award in the New York International Film Festival this year. Hey, I'm Alex...I'm an Actress

Hey World,

Happy 2011. It's crazy to think that I have only been in LA for one year! So much has happened over the past year.
* * *
The first time I ever set foot on the lot at Sony, I knew it was a special place. After two quick trips to LA earlier that year, I couldn’t get enough of it. I felt enchanted. It was Christmas break from Loyola Chicago 2008. I was in Heaven. I was excited to discover that my high school friend, Lauren, not only lived in LA, but also worked at Sony Pictures Athletic Club. At the time, the gym was rather bland. The lot was like a magic world. I couldn’t get over the feeling of being in an enormous setting where movies were made. I knew I wanted to go back to LA and Sony Pictures. I knew it was time for me to move to LA.

Shortly after I returned to Loyola Chicago, I worked on my application and essay to Loyola Marymount. I couldn’t get LA out of my head. It was a dream. I had switched apartments with the only person I knew in LA at the time, a random guy I barely knew, who was from Chicago. Milton agreed to let me stay at his Hollywood studio in exchange for my Chicago condo. It was not quite the even trade, however, I wanted to be in Hollywood. For me, it was the world. I was elated. The dingy studio was creepy, attracted a weird group of people and did not have heat at night. I was bundled up, cold, but completely content.

My family was shocked. I bought a one-way ticket to LA and told them I’d try to make it back for Christmas. Within two days, I got a job at a hip restaurant called Kitchen 24. New Years Eve, I was on Lauren’s boat in Marina del Rey.

I never made it back to Chicago until the week after New Years. The night I returned to Chicago, I actually booked a new flight for February, to spend Valentine’s Day in LA. I was slowly making my move. In May, I received my acceptance letter from Loyola Marymount. I cried. I was so happy.

In August 2009, I permanently established Los Angeles as my home. I committed to graduating from Loyola Marymount and becoming a professional film/television actress.

I focused on targeting agents and managers. It took me six months to sign with an agent and one year to find my manager. I submitted myself to roles and began targeting casting directors. Finally, I booked a pilot for ABC family that was picked up by Roger’s Network in Canada. I won the Best Actress Award in the New York Film Festival. I performed twice as the headline for House of Blues with my rock band. I began hosting my own radio/TV Show at LMU. I felt as though I was making progress, but I wanted much more...

Love,
Lexi
