"A Beautiful Mess"
You've got the best of both worlds You're the kind of girl who can take down a man, And lift him back up again You are strong but you're needy, Humble but you're greedy And based on your body language, And shoddy cursive I've been reading Your style is quite selective, though your mind is rather reckless Well I guess it just suggests that this is just what happiness is
Hey, what a beautiful mess this is It's like picking up trash in dresses
Well it kind of hurts when the kind of words you write Kind of turn themselves into knives And don't mind my nerve you could call it fiction But I like being submerged in your contradictions, dear 'Cause here we are, here we are
Although you were biased I love your advice Your comebacks ‒ they're quick And probably have to do with your insecurities There's no shame in being crazy, Depending on how you take these Words that paraphrasing this relationship we're staging
And what a beautiful mess, yes it is It's like picking up trash in dresses
Well it kind of hurts when the kind of words you say Kind of turn themselves into blades And the kind and courteous is a life I've heard But it's nice to say that we played in the dirt 'Cause here, here we are, here we are Here we are [x7]
We're still here What a beautiful mess this is It's like taking a guess when the only answer is "Yes"
Through timeless words and priceless pictures We'll fly like birds not of this earth
And tides ‒ they turn ‒ and hearts disfigure But that's no concern when we're wounded together
And we tore our dresses and stained our shirts But it's nice today. Oh, the wait was so worth it.
OMG I LOVE Halloween. It's great because it's a time of year when it's okay to be dark, eerie, and into like cruising by the Hollywood Cemetery. (Honestly, I enjoy being edgy, mysterious, and chilling at the cemetery throughout the year, but Halloween just makes everything better.) I recently checked out this AMAZING Halloween special written by Mr. Sawyer Hartman. I like it a lot because the story is totally eerie. Check it:
We went to a really dope Halloween party at my friend from Hinsdale's house out here in the Hollywood Hills. It's so crazy how a handful of wonderful Hinsdale people have ended up out in the Hollywood Hills :) and that makes me incredibly happy. I'm so happy to be able to connect with great people in the City of Angels. So the party was rad. The Schude brothers went all out. They have an awesome house and jammed out with a live band, stilt walkers, fire-eaters, and much more dark Halloween mayhem. In the meantime, I've been rockin' "BITTEN" by Wet Paint, the new Hollywood hip nail polish brand, unlike any other, which includes bases and glazes to create multitudinous colors.
A few weeks ago, I attended The Pool Boys movie premiere with Talon Reid, one of my favorite Young Hollywood best buddies. We had SUCH a fun night! Talon knows everyone and I know a lot of people, so it was great to run into so many fun different kinds of people. We sat with Tom Arnold and he is a riot. He not only was fun to be around, but he MADE the movie. Matthew Lillard looks so sharp. Wow, what a great-looking guy, who really takes care of himself. mmmmm SCREAM :) :)
Not long ago, Talon hosted a really nice charity event at his uncle's house in the hills, for a solid charity called The Dream Again Campaign. Talon and I are both philanthropists for Dream Again and please check it ;) Through this campaign, we are working to end human trafficking.
Anyway, I've been super busy lately with lots of fun events and work. I'm trying to lay low and become more underground because going to all of the events can become super overwhelming and time consuming. It often steals my focus from creative work. On the other hand, many of the events I attend are interesting and inspiring. Moreover, I enjoy supporting good work. For example, I recently attended my friend, Illeana's premiere for her hilarious show, "Easy to Assemble." It was great to support her and meet a lot of her friends. Illeana Douglas is sharp, sweet, and extremely zealous. In addition, I attended the "Dirty Girl" movie premiere in Hollywood a few weeks ago. That was a really special night because the director, Abe Sylvia and some of the cast shared some intimate moments and it was quite moving. Furthermore, Jeremy Dozier is a bright new talent and I adore Juno Temple!
On a side note, I want to share with you my secret training ground. BHP aka Beverly Hills Playhouse It's wonderful because it's a safe place where I can grow and learn as an artist. I love the vibe at the BHP.
Let me be your angel let me take away your pain Let me be your angel let me take away your pain
5AM is not to late to see your face I would change anything Just to take you back I would give you everything Just to take you back
Let me be your angel let me take away your pain Let me be your angel let me take away your pain
I'm pouring myself another drink I don't want to think about youuuuuuuuu about you anymore youuuuuuuuuuuuuu
Let me be your angel let me take away your pain Let me be your angel let me take away your pain Let me be your angel

When Love is a mutual escape it is unreal. Love becomes a force field, so that when you are with the other person, you feel as though you are literally in your own world.
I wrote this song last summer and performed two different versions of it at House of Blues, Sunset in two completely different shows I put up. I performed an acoustic version one night and another version with my rock band.
I couldn't help but notice when I googled, "Virgin Blog" or anything of the sort, horrible pornographic websites come up...Really? How is this possible? Why is no one blogging about virginity, soul mates, and waiting for the one? In my whole life, I've always saved the best for last...why do I feel alone in waiting for true love?
My best friend from Loyola Marymount, Jeanette, is a virgin and it feels good to know there are people out there with high standards. J and I clicked right away. We both believe in love and soulmates. :) Jeanette is a gorgeous, brilliant girl. She's saving herself for the one.
Love is patient.
I love to laugh. Honestly, laughing is so healthy and important. I love being around funny people. I'm SO playful, youthful and silly that I can't help but laugh a lot....at myself and others. Lol. Most of my friends are really funny too. In fact, many of my closest friends are comedians--some professional, some should be.
Some of the funniest professional comedians I like:
John Caparulo BRIAN REGAN
Dane Cook Chris D'Elia Dov Davidoff Dom Irrera BRYAN FUCKIN CALLEN Chris Porter Adam Hunter Eric Alegria Morgan Murphy LITTLE FUCKING ESTHER!!! Whitney Cummings
I LOVE Diablo Cody's sense of humor --OMG I read "Candy Girl" and her column "I Was A Monster Virgin." I also adore her column "A-Twittering Sunday" or something of that fashion with an insanely detailed reference of Greenblatts....
I LOVE Diablo Cody's show "The United States of Tara." WOW. This is some of the best writing ever..definitely my style. I also adore "Juno" and "Jennifer's Body." In fact, I've watched "Juno" millions of times in both French and English. Besides, I did a 25 page research assignment in my Advanced Rhetoric class on "Juno." Yes, I'm that obsessed with her work. She's a genius. She also went to Benet, which was the Catholic high school my dad wanted me to go to...but I chose Hinsdale Central. GO DEVILS!
Anyway, my friend Dom introduced me to his friend Tosh. He had been talking about the guy to me for so long. He was constantly, "Tosh this..." "I'm at Tosh's house..." "Tosh and I are at the beach..." Whatever, so I met this mysterious man last week upstairs at The Laugh Factory....what a funny guy. He's ridiculously tall too.
I love comedy. I love comics. I love being around it and so I felt like writing about it. I also adore and miss THE SECOND CITY CHICAGO, IO CHICAGO and Io West is okay. I just love being silly, letting go, and not TRYING to be funny...letting funny happen.
Comics have an incredibly hard job because they work their asses off to MAKE funny happen, carefully tailoring it to their audience's demographic and energy.
May has kicked off to quite a dope start. May 1st was pretty awesome for a number of reasons. First and foremost, Osama Bin Laden is no longer on this planet. :-) Score. Second, the weather was amazing on this exquisite day. I had a dope Sunday night dinner at one of my favorite secret spots...with a really fun guy.
I recently made this new group of gay guy friends who are all super hot and dress really well. Lol. They are so fun and are my neighbors so we grill together, chill poolside, beach, party, etc. I like their energy. =]
Today was amazing. I spent the day in hills and then had lunch with my friend after touring his new insanely gorgeous palace.
Anyway, I'm graduating from Loyola Marymount on Saturday and I'm STOKED!! =] GO LIONS!! I will certainly be rocking over to campus this week to pick up my cap and gown and drop off chocolates to my advisor :-)
I take the LSAT June 6th and I'm freaking out because I'm not ready at all. I took my fifth full length LSAT on Saturday...it was intense and I'm definitely not prepared to get the 165 that I'm shooting for yet. It's all good. I'm going to push through and study at least 5-6 hours a day from now on.
I LOVE St. Patrick's Day. My best friend/"Adopted Brother" (as my mom says) from Hinsdale since sixth grade is Patrick Regan. He was born on this lucky day and it has become quite a special holiday for most of my life. Even though we are Italian, my family is pretty huge on St. Patrick's Day. My mom's mom claimed that her grandmother was an O'Day and so there is a small percentage of Irish heritage on my mom's side, supposedly. My dad would argue that we are Italian...and that's that. Lol.
Anyway, I've been really busy focusing on fitness, lots of green tea, lots of reading, education and bettering myself. I'm focused on my health, maintaining a really solid schedule of boxing, power hot yoga and working with the machine, Tolland.
A few weeks ago, I went to The Lincoln Lawyer movie premiere at the Arclight. It was so crazy because Matthew McConaughey rolled up next to me (in a Lincoln...perfectly themed) with his entourage. It was pretty cool and definitely a memorable night.
I have been crazy busy...mostly being a socialite...
I hosted a fun party with my girl, Playboy Bunny Donna Spangler in Beverly Hills two weeks ago. We had over 200 HOT peeps. It was so fun.
I created this whole concept of having dope floating lights in the pool and hot tub. We had our party planner come over and hardcore deck out the house like a fantasy world..we rented a giant chocolate fountain!
Donna and I baked about 300 "fantasy cupcakes." They were my creative designs omg!!! It was SO fun.
My next party is a St. Patrick's Day Party! It's a smaller, more private celebrity party...it's top secret, biotch :P
Lately I've been totally high on life because it's Oscar season and there are so many cool events!
Over the past four years, I have had many different personal trainers in Chicago and Los Angeles. I take my training very seriously. I've trained at David Barton gym with a plethora of male and female trainers. My favorite trainers there (David Barton Chicago) were Andrew, Joe, Sahdi, Sarah and AJ.
I trained at The Right Fit in Hinsdale. I had a boxing coach there and my trainer there was Dara...she was pretty cool and we even partied together a lot. haha then I hooked her up with my friend Ryan...but that's another story...
I trained at Lifetime in Burr Ridge with many different trainers and one boxing coach there as well. My favorite trainers at Lifetime were Marty Hyland and Matt Kouba!
MARTY HYLAND, Lifetime Burr Ridge, IL Marty is sooooo good. He's hardcore and intense. He makes you work hard and I love that I'm always sore when I train with Marty. I was actually Marty's first young female client. Apparently, Marty is so intense that a lot of girls can't handle him! haha I love that because I worked really hard with him and we even did a 2hour sessions a few times...including a 2hour one on Thanksgiving. Marty is upbeat and pushes me to my ultimate maximum limit. A great Marty Hyland (AKA "H BOMB") quote, "The weight doesn't lose itself!"
MATT KOUBA, Lifetime Fitness Burr Ridge, IL Matt Kouba is a body builder and he's extremely well educated on fitness. He knows his stuff! My favorite Matt Kouba quote, "If you're hungry, drink a FUCKING glass of water!" LOL I love him because he doesn't make exceptions or allow "cheating." Hardcore. Matt Kouba is JACKED. He set me up on what we call "The Matt Kouba Diet" which is modified to my training style and focuses on protein. I still follow the Matt Kouba diet to this day. It helps keep everything consistent. Matt is such a sweet guy and pretty amazing at what he does.
ANGELO SORRENTI ANGELO SORRENTI
The best trainer in New York is Angelo Sorrenti. OMG this guy is a machine. He has an entire ASIM empire. Let me take a moment to educate you on ASIM, Angelo Sorrenti Advanced Manipulation. Angelo studied in Italy and he basically convinced me that he is an angel..lol no joke ;) The first time I ever rode a motorcycle in my life was last summer with Angelo...omg he's so fun and extremely serious about training. Angelo has changed multitudinous peoples' lives. He trains Kate Moss and a bunch of other celebrities. He has set world records, been all over magazines AND has his own clothing line with MARC JACOBS! He's Italian, sweet, and hilarious. I also admit, he's one of the most fun guys I've ever met in my life. He scared the shit out of me and gave me a dope adrenaline rush the entire time we hung out ;)
Okay, so the two best trainers in Los Angeles are: ADAM FARINO & TOLLAND WEEMS (Equinox)...they are both amazing and really care about their clients.
Adam has a masters. He's really serious about his work and good at it! He's also a celebrity trainer and now trains Lindsay Lohan :-) Celebrity Trainer Adam Farino and me at my first movie premiere for "PURITY" in Los Angeles Check out FARINO FITNESS, duh!
TOLLAND WEEMS, Top LA Trainer, duh
Tolland Weems is the best. He listens and understands client needs. He's creative, innovative and great at designing a program that fits specific client needs. Tolland is a dope trainer.
Ok, so if you need a trainer in LA, New York, Chicago, or Hinsdale, I definitely have that covered!
Hey World, This is a really important time to have perfectly shiny hair. It's Oscar season which means millions of red carpets and gifting suites! I am so excited!
Yesterday I got a Brazilian blowout!! I went to my friend Cory Savage's salon-- C Savage Salon.
My friend Cory is a celebrity stylist and his salon is totally cute. It was my first time there and I was definitely impressed with the outgoing staff and comfortable, private atmosphere.
Cory Savage is really top notch.
Another celebrity stylist, Brittany Dahl, did my process.
Wow. Completely impressed with her knowledge and skills! She's also totally gorgeous.
For my color, I go to Christian Ventor at Umberto in Beverly Hills. I absolutely love Christian. He is wonderful because he really listens to what you want and need. Besides, he focuses much energy on the integrity of your hair. He cares a lot about his clients and I love him!! :-)
He's also totally HOT.
My favorite friend in LA, Donna Spangler, introduced me to Christian. Her color is also gorgeous, as you can see :-)
& Finally, here is my color, thanks to Christian :-) I will post new pics after my Brazilian blowout from Cory :-)
